Personal Care Items: Deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, ethnic hair care products, body soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, lotion, new washcloth/towels, and laundry detergent/dryer sheets.

Undergarments:Underwear, socks, sports bras and undershirts sizes small youth to XXL adult, feminine hygiene.

Arts/Crafts Supplies: Arts and crafts have proven to be a helpful and beneficial tool offering a sense of self esteem, aiding in cognitive challenges, and using creativity as a means of expression. Items in need are: Large coloring books, Velvet Art posters large and small, Glitter Flakes, Elmers glue 3D glitter pens, scrapbooks, scrapbook accessories, Dream Catcher kits, small stained glass kits, cookie cutter shapes, art sketch pads, colored pencils and markers, Crayola art packs, blank t-shirts (white to decorate), models/building kits, coloring books for various ages, balloons, clay to use in kiln, washable paint, foam core boards, drawing paper, construction paper, “How to Draw” instruction books, poster boards, stickers, craft sets to paint (bird houses, clay pots, etc.),charcoal pencils/sticks, art chalk, paint brushes, Crazy Loom and Mandala coloring books.


Point Store Program & Birthday Donations Needed: St. Joseph Orphanage has a behavioral incentive program called the Point Store. The program has proven to be very effective in teaching children that good work and personal successes can be rewarding. Children at St. Joseph Orphanage are given the opportunity to
earn points by doing well in school, performing a good deed, and good behavior. At designated times children are able to go to the point store and purchase items with the points they’ve earned. The point store is used for children of various ages and items go quickly.

Popular items are: footballs, Lego sets, action figures-Ninja Turtle/Super Hero/Wrestling, hair accessories, cologne (Axe), $5 gift cards (fast food restaurants/retail stores), perfume/ body lotion, watches, fleece sweatshirts size L, XL, 1XL and 2XL, Nike socks and sweat suits/shirts SM-2XL, Play-Doh, art supplies, African American dolls, Little Pet Shop, diaries/journals, rubber band bracelet and looms/accessories.


Back to School Supplies: In great need during the months of August and September, always in need throughout the year. Backpacks, notebooks, crayons, colored pencils, pencil bags, construction paper, markers, calculators, erasers and notebook paper are just a few of the many supplies needed to start the year right!

Swim Items: one piece swims suits, swim trunks sizes youth small to XXL adults, goggles, swim caps, ear plugs, sunscreen, dive toys and dive sticks, noodles, arm floaties, and water bomb soaker balls.

Miscellaneous: Box fans, new blankets/pillows, batteries, bed sheets & comforters for Twin XL and Full size beds, kitchen supplies, yoga mats, tissues and sanitizer wipes.

*Unfortunately, we are not equipped to accept donations of gently-used items, but we appreciate you thinking of St. Joseph Orphanage and our children! If you have gently-used items that you would like to donate to a great cause, St. Vincent de Paul can be reached by calling 513-421-CARE (2273) or at www.SVDPcincinnati.org. Your items will either be given to a family in need, free of charge, or sold in the thrift stores with proceeds benefiting programs such as homelessness prevention, food pantries and more!
